About Me

I’m Gemma, the creator, cook, mess-maker, and flavor-chaser behind Recipes By Gemma — and I’m so happy you found your way here.

What’s This Blog All About?

Recipes By Gemma is a cozy little spot on the internet where you’ll find real food, real stories, and real life — one delicious recipe at a time.

This blog is all about:

  • Simple, no-fuss meals that actually taste amazing
  • Fresh ingredients and pantry staples you already have
  • Kitchen tips, tricks, and “aha!” moments that make cooking feel less scary
  • A whole lotta garlic (IYKYK)

Whether you’re brand new to cooking or just need new inspiration for weeknight dinners, I’m here to help you feel more confident — and have more fun — in the kitchen.

Why I Started Recipes By Gemma

For me, cooking has always been about love. From family gatherings to solo midnight snacks, food has a way of bringing people together and turning even the smallest moments into memories.

I started this blog to share the meals I love and the stories that come with them — the messy, imperfect, wonderfully human side of home cooking. Recipes By Gemma is where I put all the flavors I grew up with, the ones I discovered along the way, and the ones I still mess up sometimes (and that’s okay!)

What You’ll Find Here

Here’s a little taste of what you can expect from the blog:

  • Step-by-step recipes that don’t require a culinary degree
  • Tips & substitutions for real-life kitchens (and tight budgets)
  • Honest reviews of kitchen tools and gadgets I actually use
  • Seasonal favorites, comfort food classics, and bold new flavors
  • A sprinkle of storytelling, because every dish has a backstory
The happiest time for me – with food in my kitchen!
